"Endometriosis"

In April of 2026 I was diagnosed with a chronic illness called Endometriosis. After years of symptoms I felt an overwhelming sense of reassurance when I came out of theatre to be told they had found it. During my recovery, I decided to create a collection of oil paintings. I was working from the pictures my surgeon took during my diagnostic laparoscopy. I found this to be a validating task as I was painting something very raw and real, after maintaining such a grey area for so long. It reflected the newfound clarity I had received. I've had mixed opinions from viewers on these paintings, many saying "I don't want to see that" or "that's gross!', but unfortunately that's just the reality of Endo!
